About us and our own little corner of the world.
We are located in East Tennessee, near the Smokey Mountains, northwest of Knoxille area. Our ground is hilly and loaded with brush; perfect for goats.
The decision to get the Nigerian Dwarf goats was based on they were a milk goat, small for our young kids, and they are cute. I wanted my kids to grow up and help with the animals but felt it would be hard with larger animals, thus started the search to find animals that were smaller and easier to handle.
We also have Jersey Wooly rabbits, Angora goats, and Shetland Sheep. With the Angora and Nigerian goats I can breed for Nigora goats; the perfect small animal for milk and fiber. The shetland sheep are a breed that's hardy and small and I thought would make a great addition to my farm and have another type of fiber to work with.
