ANVO ACRES

Shetland Sheep are a miniature type of sheep breed that have wonderful personalities. They are hardy and lamb easilly. They come in a wide variety of color and shading. The rams are usually horned but there are breeders out there that are breeding for polled (no horns) rams. I like the look of the horns but I also want to breed for some polled in my herd. While my own kids are little I'm trying to teach them respect and carefulness around our animals but then it's great to have animals that are friendly and gentle to begin with. Head butting with no horns would not hurt quiet as much.

Update: New to Anvo Acres, 2 polled genetic carrying shetland ewes hopefully bred to a polled shetland ram for this spring. These two wonderful girls came from Juliann Budde at Little Country Acres in Illinois.
